Volunteer
We have ambitious plans to expand our audience, increase content delivery, and try new things. To execute these plans we are looking for energetic and creative volunteers to join small teams that will offer advice, tackle technical challenges, plan and execute events, and come up with designs and content for all our platforms. Each team will have 3 to 4 people to focus on the following areas:
Digital - Use your product, design, content and technical skills to take the HOPS website and social media accounts to the next level.
Events - Lead the planning and execution of HOPS online and in-person events.
Funding - Identify potential sponsors and grants to cover operational costs and fund scholarships for public servants.
Partnership - Reach out to organizations to identify opportunities for collaboration in support of similar missions.
Joining a HOPS working group is a one-year commitment with the option to extend. At the end of each year, volunteers may decide if they want to remain in their current group or move to another. The main expectation is to be responsive on Slack by responding within 24 hours and provide advice or support as needed. The work could range from 5-10 hrs a month.
