Volunteerism has always been a big part of my life.

I served as a firefighter in New York during Superstorm Sandy and always knew that I wanted to have a career in public service. My father was a refugee and my grandparents were Holocaust survivors. America gave them an opportunity to rebuild their lives and secure a bright future for their children. By serving America, I feel like I am returning the favor to this great country and giving back. I am forever grateful for the opportunities America has given my family. I have been honored to serve the American people both in my local community and now, in my current role at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

Today, I proudly serve at FDIC as a Program Specialist in the IT department for the Corporate University, which provides technical training to bank examiners to ensure they have the specialized knowledge required for their role. My primary responsibilities involve project management, administering various applications and automating business processes. I take great pride in working behind the scenes to ensure FDIC meets their goal to maintain stability and public confidence in the nation's financial system. Being a part of this very important mission fills me with a deep sense of pride and satisfaction. Taking the oath to serve at FDIC was one of the greatest moments of my life. Every day I come to work, I know that I am serving America and working for the American people. It's a great feeling and I truly feel blessed to have this opportunity.
