"Every member of my team has their own unique area of expertise and we support each other to ensure we can provide the best services to Missouri citizens."
I began my career with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services in July of 1995.
After working for more than 12 years in clerical and administrative assistant roles, I started working in the Bureau of Immunizations as a coordinator for the school and child care program in 2008. It was there that I really found my niche in public health, working with the amazing school nurses that are caring for Missouri’s school children and seeing their passion for ensuring the health and safety of the children in their schools. In March 2021, I was promoted to Bureau Chief for the Bureau of Immunizations after serving as the Assistant Bureau Chief during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It has been incredible to see how the team in the Bureau of Immunizations and other individuals all across the Department of Health and Senior Services pulled together and worked tirelessly to ensure Missourians still had access to vital public health services during the pandemic. I have an amazing team that I work with! Every member of my team has their own unique area of expertise and we support each other to ensure we can provide the best services to Missouri citizens. For 27 years the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has been a place I have been able to call home, and I cannot imagine any other scenario where I am not there to serve the citizens of Missouri.
