Early on, after college, I experienced a career setback that provided an opportunity for me to pivot in my career.

,It led me to public service and has been one of the best things that has happened to me. I work at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) where I am the Organizational Change Management Lead within the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE). Working in organizational change management allows me to use my passion, creativity, and eagerness to serve others and achieve excellence every day.

In my public service career, I have been fortunate to support large and wide-reaching initiatives within the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and now the SEC. Since joining the SEC, I am proud of what we have accomplished. Within two years of the creation of our office and with a brand new federal staff, we migrated our software to the cloud and upskilled our workforce to equip them with the skills they’d need. Now, we have enhanced application security and reliability and we can innovate more quickly and efficiently, allowing us to keep up with the ever-changing market. Our team learned cloud fundamentals as well as more specialized skills like application development and developmental operations.

Through all of this work, I have been able to see and hear firsthand from service members, veterans, and the general public how the programs and initiatives I have supported have brought value. As a change agent, I look forward to continuing to support programs and initiatives that enable the federal workforce and our partners to provide tangible benefits to the American public. And I have public service to thank for so many things, including meeting lifelong friends along the way.
