"Unified in the mission to make the lives of our residents easier."
I'm the Executive Director for CODE PA.
A new team that's being established in Pennsylvania to improve digital services for residents and business owners. Governor Shapiro signed an Executive Order to establish this team so that we could partner with IT and prioritize the digital user experience. Our goal is to provide Pennsylvanians with a "No Wrong Door" strategy, so that no matter how they are able to engage with our services, they are able to get support. Everyone is unified in the mission to make the lives of our residents easier. I am excited to be part of the future of civic tech in Pennsylvania, as we move away from agency-focused digital delivery of services, and dive into services that are presented in an intuitive and easy way.
I was inspired to join public service because I'm an impact-driven individual. To me, there's no greater opportunity to serve my community than to join the public sector. There's an incredible energy surrounding civic technology -- a sense of collaboration that's unlike anything I've ever experienced. For example, during the early days of my career at CODE PA, it was a truly incredible experience to participate in the Code for America Conference. Every session provided great detail about the trials and tribulations of navigating projects, provided best practices, and access to an incredible array of resources as a follow up. Whether we are publicly sharing wins, failures, or even entire code repositories with our colleagues, this is the most collaborative and generous space I’ve been a part of and I’m grateful to be welcomed into this field.
