"Doing what I can with the intent of making the world a better place."
I have always been inspired to help others.
Prior to joining the federal government, I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Zambia. Before that, I worked for a civic nonprofit dedicated to the immigrant community. Even now, in my free time, I volunteer with a community safety nonprofit to counter the rise in anti-Asian hate in my neighborhood. To put it simply, I’ve tried to do what I can with the intent of making the world a better place.
My current role is a Contract Specialist with the General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service (PBS). Even in this role, I have found opportunities to continue serving my community and supporting others. Since joining the federal government, I’ve participated in a focus group for improving GSA’s vision & mission statement. I’m a planning committee member for GSA’s Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander (AANHPI) affinity group. I try to be an active participant in the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility groups (DEIA) I am part of. I am a sounding board for my coworkers and strive to validate their experiences. Ultimately, I want to do work that helps others, in my personal and professional capacities.
