From a young age, I was driven by a deep-seated desire to improve my community and create a better environment than the one I grew up in.

This longing for change inspired my journey into public service. While pursuing my human resources degrees, I began engaging in community service that echoed my personal experiences: advocating for those without a voice, mentoring the young and eager, and serving as a steward in my community. This hands-on involvement cultivated my passion for public service and transformed it into a lifelong commitment.

In 2009, I began working as a Human Capital Consultant in a federal contractor role. However, I transitioned from a contractor to a full-time employee for the federal government. This transition signified the culmination of years of dedication and hard work and represented a personal affirmation of my commitment to public service. Today, I'm proud to serve as a Human Capital Specialist at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Since taking on this role in January 2022, I have committed myself daily to shaping and improving our workforce's capabilities, ensuring that our government functions effectively and efficiently.

In addition to my full-time job in the federal government, I am also active in my local community as the Vice Mayor of Dumfries, Virginia. I have the privilege of engaging directly with my local community and impacting the people and the place I call home. I am committed to making my hometown a better place.
