"I grew up in a family with strong public service roots."
My grandfather, John, was a community organizer into his nineties.
I grew up surrounded by public servants and they all inspired me to serve. My grandfather, John, was a community organizer into his nineties. My father, Chris, worked on Capitol Hill and my recently passed mother Amy was an independent-minded local organizer of sorts. My cousins are career diplomats in the State Department.
I am a community organizer at heart, just like my grandfather and mother and I’ve had the privilege of using my technical and product skills to empower individuals and strengthen communities. After a time in private sector tech and as a Presidential Innovation Fellow, I currently serve as Business Development Lead at Login.gov, where I work with IT leaders across state and local governments to secure their identity systems and make them more accessible. Living away from my home state of Oregon, I stay connected to my hometown community by putting on a small outdoor house music festival called Canyon Vibration. I’m proud to be in the family business of serving others.
