"Each challenge is an opportunity for creative thinking and collaboration, and each triumph has a lasting impact."
Born and raised in East Tennessee, I've always had a love for the Appalachian region and the people who live here.
As the Assistant Program Director for a local AmeriCorps program, CAC AmeriCorps, I help government and nonprofit organizations leverage resources toward their missions by connecting them with passionate individuals who want to make a difference in their communities. Through this, I also get to facilitate community-level connections and collaborations and guide individuals professionally who want to have impact-oriented careers in public service.
This career has continuously exposed me to the challenges and triumphs of community work. I've found that through each challenge is an opportunity for creative thinking and collaboration, and each triumph has a lasting impact. I’ve seen service members learn and grow through this cycle each year and I’ve discovered so much about myself, my community, and the impact service can have on both.
