"Using technology to find creative solutions to make our government better."
Being raised in a family that values assisting and serving others made it a natural fit for me to pursue a career in the federal government.
My journey in public service began as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Gabon after completing my undergraduate studies. After that, I attended graduate school, thanks to the support of the federally funded Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship. I began my career as a Presidential Management Fellow at the Department of Energy. That was more than 15 years ago and I’m still as dedicated and passionate about public service as the day that I started.
I am a Digital Services Specialist on the Open Data, Design & Development team within the Office of Natural Resources Revenue within the Department of the Interior. An economist by training, I spent several years working in energy and finance at the Department of Energy, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and the Institute of International Finance. However, I transitioned to civic tech a few years ago and found my true career passion: using technology to find creative solutions to make our government better.
Throughout my career, the most rewarding aspect has been the people I have had the opportunity to collaborate with. I'm fortunate to work alongside intelligent, dedicated individuals who consistently demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to doing what is right simply because it is the right thing.
