After my years of service in the Marine Corps, I was inspired to join the California Highway Patrol to continue my public service.

The Highway Patrol offered me an opportunity to enhance public trust in the community which has done so much for me in my life. Now, I have been an officer with the California Highway Patrol for 22 years. Along with working for the CHP, I am on the board of directors for the San Marcos Promise which helps students in San Marcos learn paths to success through college or job training.

Throughout my career, I have been honored to give back to my community by teaching traffic safety to companies and schools in San Diego County. The highlight of my career has been the thousands of high school students that I have had the opportunity to reach through our traffic safety programs. Start Smart, Every 15 Minutes, and Impact Teen Driving have been important programs that have saved the lives of countless new drivers.
