Growing up, my parents told me that we all had a responsibility to make sure that the government was a force for good for the community.
I have dedicated my professional life to this endeavor and it has taken different forms over the years. Previously, I worked on political campaigns and staffed elected officials. But I knew I wanted to be in a role where success was not measured by election wins and losses, but instead through making a difference in the community.
Local government has been the perfect fit for me because I’m close enough to the community to see the positive impact of my work. I am able to work on interesting challenges day in and day out. Today, I have the honor of leading strategy & innovation efforts for Buncombe County Government in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. My job is to help our departments and employees best serve our wonderful community through strategic planning, process improvement, and project management.
