I'm the Chief Digital Officer in Gilbert, Arizona.

I built and now lead an award-winning digital team responsible for developing forward-thinking policies on social media, digital communications, web initiatives and other tools to better serve the public. I also host “Government Gone Digital,” a podcast showcasing the innovative ways Gilbert is interacting with residents and businesses to tell their own story through the creative use of social media, video and other digital methods.

I happen to have been raised in Gilbert, the community I now serve. I was raised by two parents who were teachers and spent 40 years of their careers devoted to public service. My mom taught me the importance of service and community involvement at a very young age. In every stage of my life, from high school to college to my career, I've been focused on work that makes an impact on communities and moves us forward together. In Gilbert, it has been a joy to see the citizen engagement with our digital efforts and how data has helped guide decision-making to improve the community over the past decade. I am so proud of my team’s work to put a sleepy town on the map so that people can understand all that Gilbert has to offer for everyone. I'm hoping to share with my daughters these accomplishments and the lessons I learned from my parents with the hopes they'll find their own path to community impact.
